Free Book Days!

I am blogging more slowly these days.  My mind is muddled and I feel that I probably wouldn't make much sense today if I did a real blog post.   I haven't slept in several days and I may begin seeing ghosts where there are none soon.   Despite my sleep deprivation, muddled mind, aching back, and fatigue, I have a lot to celebrate.   My horror novel, Circe, came out on Kindle.  I have 300 followers on my blog and I will be having a baby any moment, hopefully soon.   So rather than torture you with the ramblings of an addled woman, I am going to give away books to celebrate all the good things in life.   Today and Tomorrow, I will give away free copies of Circe and Death's Dream Kingdom to anyone who asks.   If you want one, email me at jessica.penot@gmail.com  or comment below with your email address and I will send you a copy.  I have several wonderful guest bloggers lined up for after I have my baby, so ya'll may notice that I may not be writing, but that is a good thing.  Also, I apologize to all the wonderful bloggers out there who I am not following as well because my brain seems to have left the building.   I appreciate everyone who reads this blog.  Ya'll keep me writing and keep me inspired and I have learned so much from you that I can't say.   So, happy free book day!

My Book is Out in Print!

In all my travelling and craziness, I forgot to announce that my novel, Death's Dream Kingdom, is now out in print.  Death's Dream Kingdom is my first novel and is completely swamped in ghostly lore and otherworldly adventure.  For those of you who have been following me for a while, you've read about this book as I've gone through the many steps to publication.  For me,  this is the most exciting step.  I actually got to hold a copy of the book in my hand.  It just didn't seem real until I held it.   The book came out on Kindle in May, but since I don't own a kindle that seemed vague and out of reach for me.    Hopefully, this will be the first of many haunted novels for me.  I've posted a synopsis and a link to the book below.  Since I already have the cover art up on this blog, I have my favorite image from the book below.    I will be giving away an autographed copy of the book to celebrate!  If you are interested in receiving a copy, let me know below.  I will do a drawing next week to see who gets the free book!

Silly Summer: Creepy Cartoons and Ghostly Giveaways!

I have noticed a lot of blogs doing give aways this summer.  I thought I would follow the crowd and join in the fun.  Everyone needs a good book to get them through the summer or a good movie.  Summer days are long and hot and without the proper entertainment, they can become oppressive.   I would like to help entertain everyone.   I will be giving away one hardback copy of The Thirteenth Tale.  The Thirteenth Tale is a Gothic story about a mysterious writer and her haunted past.  It is a wonderful ghost story for those long summer days.   I will also include a collection of H.P Lovecraft's short story in the giveaway.  All you have to do to win these two books to make summer more bearable and haunting is to comment below saying you would like to be entered in my silly summer give away.  Winner will be announced here on  July 4th.
